The following rules have been prepared by FLEMING COUNTY RACEWAY- 2014.No Warranty of safety is expressed or implied as a result of this publication of rules in every class. These rules are intended as guide and in no way guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or others. Anything not covered by these specifications should be approved by the various track officials and be placed in writing. However it is our intent to enforce rules and regulation and all policies thru out the racing season. If a rule change is made it will be posted and announce in driver’s meeting in advance one week before set.


REMINDER TO ALL RACERS AND FANS; FLEMING COUNTY IS A DRY COUNTY THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON THE PREMISSES.THIS IS A FAMILY ORIENTED COMPLEX PUT TOGETHER FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES AS WELL AS MINE AND WILL NOT TOLERATE THE BREAKING OF THIS RULES AND ABSOLUTELY NO DRUGS.THERE WILL BE A LICENSE SECURITY GUARD WALKING THE GROUNDS IF HE SO MUCH SMELLS ALCOHOL YOU WILL FIRST BE WARNED AND THAN MAYBE SUBJECT TO BE ESCORTED FROM THE PREMISSES FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL.THANK YOU AND HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND .

1st- 100 points
2nd-95 points
3rd-90 points
4th-85points
50 points for a DNF in feature. No points awarded if feature isn’t started by driver.
So on until the last driver. No partial points should be given. Point’s races should be well defined in the schedule so there is no conflict about the standings throughout the season.

Drivers Meetings

Driver’s meetings should take place at a pretty consistent time every week or else they should be posted a couple days before race day on Facebook. They should happen at the same location weekly and ALL drivers should attend. During meeting’s new things will be discussed, last week will be
discussed, and drivers will be thanked for coming. It would be very handy to have a working PA system and a time keeping device in order to communicate fairly with drivers and spectators.

Driver’s Meeting (Upon meeting’s end, drivers in Limited Late Model and all classes will pill draw to avoid delays in events)

3rd- Sport Mods and Mod 4 will run together

5th- 4 Cylinder Class A- Should be a more open and flexible rule set{reserve the right to split 4 cylinder front wheel drive from rear wheel if car count is over 20 to avoid unsafe racing conditions.

ATTENTION DRIVERS - Due to saving time and a 2:OO A.M curfew ,All classes will draw pills to save time.

Order of events should stay consistent unless there is a big race in a certain class. This class would race first.

Payout will increase as time goes depending on larger car count.The more cars I get in each class will determine a larger purse and pay outs.I’m hoping to give out trophies with a first place purse

LIMITED LATE MODEL

1.Standard Lucas Oil and WoO Late Model Safety & Body Rules

2.Cast iron blocks only on V8 engines. Aluminum blocks permitted only on 4 cylinder engines. No aluminum V8 engines blocks permitted.
3. Aluminum or cast iron heads permitted. Must be 23 degrees or 18 degree only on Chevy combinations and 20 degree only on Ford combinations.
4. No canister type shocks allowed. Gas or Oil Shocks permitted.
5 .No dry sump oiling system allowed. External pumps allowed only on wet sump engines.
6.2400 lbs Minimum weight 2000 lbs. Minimum Weight for 4 Cylinder Engines.
7.1300 Hoosier or 44 American Racer Tire or Harder on all 4 corners. Tires must punch 40 prior to qualifying, Heat race and feature race.

Open Wheel Modified

2.2400 lbs Minimum Weight
3.Hossier A,H,hard and Extra Hard or American racer Hard or Extra Hard. Tires must punch 55 prior to heat race and feature race.

BOMBER

1.BODY
A. Any American made steel production body, passenger car{1960-1992}No sub-compact such as Vega, Pinto, etc.
B. All doors must be bolted or welded shut .
C. No chopping , shortening, or cutting on body allowed, except for tire clearance only.
D .May remove front inner fenders.
E. Rear wheel tubs and trunk CAN be removed.
F. Aluminum body prohibited but must have both front and rear bumper/cover matching.

2.CHASSIS/FRAME

A. Must be full frame .Uni-body may be use but must tied together with 2”x3”minimum tubing.
B.108”wheel base minimum.
C. There must be a lifting hook securely attached to the frame at both the front and rear of vehicle. Lifting hook must be easily accessible by tow operator.
D. No radios allowed.
E. Weights are allowed.
F. Car weight must be 3200 or more

3BUMPERS
1.Must be stock or bumper covers.
2.Must be welded to frame.

4.INTERIOR

A.Bracing bars may extend forward or rearward through firewalls for safety purposes only and welded to the back of bumpers and frame.
B.Interior must be gutted completely.
C.Front and rear firewalls must be completely covered with sheet metal.
D.Approved racing seat only.Must be properly framed and securely mounted roll cage.No factory buckets of any type and must be mounted in stock location-3” in front of rear door opening.
E.Factory firewall and floor board Optional but not Mandatory
F.No mirrors.

G. Must have 4 point design roll cage,1 ¾”O.D minimum ,mild steel.
H. Minimum 3 door bar driver side and 2 door bar passenger side.

5.ENGINE

A. MUST BE IN STOCK APPEARING.
B. Can be setback inline with #1 plug.
C. Cast iron or aluminium intakes allowed, Steel heads and blocks only.
D. GM to GM, FORD to FORD, etc only. EXCEPT rear ends.
E. Stock battery ignition only. NO dual point distributor. NO magnetos.
F. NO electric fuel pumps.
G. Headers ARE PERMITTED.

6. CARBURATORS

A. Any 2 barrel or 4 barrel carburators allowed.

7. BRAKES

A. Must have 4 wheel brakes.
B. Drum or disk allowed.
C. Double master cylinder ALLOWED.

8 REAREND

A. Passenger car or ½ ton truck only.
B. Posi-trac OK. Rearends may be locked. No quick change rearends.
C. Floater rearends allowed.

9.TRANSMISSION

A. Standard or automatic transmission of production type.{Must have a torque converter}
B. Transmission must have 1 forward and reverse in working order.
C. Clutch must be in working order.
D. Bert transmission allowed.

10. WHEELS AND TIRE

A. Steel wheels only 8”maximum.
B. Racing type wheels allowed.
C.70 series DOT tires only.Must be passenger car type,Modified tires maybe used any hard tire must say hard on the side wall.
D. Recaps may be use if produced on passenger car casings.
E. No mud grips or snow tires. No alterain thread.
F. Reinforced right front wheel.
G.1”Hex lug nuts REQUIRED.
H. Bead-Lock-Allowed on all 4 wheels.

11.SUSPENSION

A. All steering components must remain stock as per car. Camaro must have leaf springs.
B. No shortening or lengthen of A-arms.
C. Shock mount in stock location one shock per wheel only.No adjustable shock..
D. weight jacks allowed front or rear.
E. Steering- Quickener allowed.

12.SAFETY

A.2 ½ pound dry chemical fire extinguisher with gauge charge located within easy reach of the driver and securely MOUNTED.NO TAPE.
B. Fuel sell MANDATORY. Must be properly mounted in trunk area.
C. Snell 85 helmet required .
D.5 pt safety harness required.3” lap belt and shoulder harness with/aircraft quick release type latch. No Passenger car belts of any type. Must be bolted to roll cage w/no less than 7/16 bolt.
E. Driveshaft loop is required and must be constructed of atleast ¼ by 2’’ steel and should be mounted no more than 6” back from front of driveshaft.1/4” chain or larger can be use in place of steel strap.
F. Battery location optional. If mounted at driver compartment must be enclose and securely mounted in a marine type battery box.
G. All glass, chrome. interior, and exterior trim must be remove.
H. Fire resistant driver uniform mandatory. Fire resistant gloves highly recommended .Flame resistant coveralls are not permitted.
I. Approved racing seat with appropriate tubular framing only. No factory production type seats of any kind.
J. Driveshaft must be painted white or fluorescent color.

13.APPEARANCE

A. ALL cars should be neatly painted w/numbers painted 18” high on sides and 24’’ on roof all numbers should be 3” wide. All cars must be neat in appearance, painted to look like a race car and be neatly lettered. Badly wrecked cars must be straighten.

STOCK 4 CYLINDERS

1. Any car or truck that came from the factory with a single or dual cam 4 cylinder engine permitted.
2. Steel body must be used .After market replacement body components allowed but must be steel. No aluminum bodies or body panels allowed.
3. Stock engine type that came in the car /truck must be run. No aftermarket blocks, heads, or intakes allowed. Engine modifications allowed but blocks, head, and intake must remain stock.
4 .Aluminum heads permitted on engines that came from the factory with an aluminum head. No aftermarket heads allowed.
5. Fuel injections permitted on engines that came from the factory with fuel injections. No aftermarket fuel injections allowed.
6. Stock type intakes only. No aftermarket intakes allowed.
7. After market headers will be allowed .
8. All glass, mirrors, body molding and trim must be removed. All insulations and other combustible material must be removed. Pedals must remain stock/maybe modified for roll cage clearance.
9. A box type 6 point roll cage of 1 1/2 by .095 wall minimum steel tubing is required. Roll cage must be welded to 1/8 plates,4”x8” minimum size. Truck frames may use a 2”x3” tubing to construct a perimeter frame to attached roll cage and door bars. Doors on both sides must have 3 bars, 1 ½”x.095minimum.Pasenger side may be an x but must have 3 bars. The roll cage must be a box over , behind and in front of driver. The hoop behind the driver must have a diagonal brace. Roof loop must have a center bar .Extra bracing inside the cockpit is allowed.
10. Doors must be welded or chain shut. Wind shield must be replaced with heavy gauge wire mesh.3 bars of 3/8 “ diameter meter must be welded to the roll cage in front of driver.
11. Stock suspension only. Absolutely no modified suspension components of any kind will be permitted. This includes weight jacks, adjustable rod ends, etc. Replacement bushing ok.
12. Strut towers may be reinforced. Right front hubs may be reinforced. Wheel centers may be reinforced .Large wheel studs and nuts are recommended.
13. Street tires any racing tire 8'' wide only.DOT approved or racing [Driver's choice no recaps.
14. 13” , 14” tires allowed.
15 .After market wheels allowed. Maximum width is 8” bead lock wheels [driver’s choice}.
16. Fuel sell in steel can, or steel tank may be securely mounted in trunk area. It must have a firewall between the tank and the driver. Must meet the safety mans approval.
17. Battery must be securely fasten down, if in cockpit must be completely enclosed. Must run battery master disconnect switch within drivers reach.
18. Racing seat mandatory .A quick release 5 point racing type seat belt is required. Seats and seatbelts must mount to frame or roll cage, and meet safety mans approval.
19. Must wear approve helmet and fire suit.

Mod 4cyl

1.Full tube frame, open-wheel modified frame, or stock frame cars allowed. Full size late model type chassis prohibited. Mini late chassis permitted. All safety rules apply no matter what type of chassis is used.
2.Minimum weight for all cars is 2000 lbs.
3.Stock or aftermarket body panels are allowed.
4.Any engine combination is allowed as long as it is a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder. Fuel injection is prohibited. All engine combinations must run a single carburetor.
5.10″ maximum wheel width. No rule on tire compound.
6.Racing seat mandatory. A quick release 5 point racing type seat belt is required. Seat and seat belts must mount to frame or roll cage, and meet safety mans approval.
7.8″ maximum rear spoiler.


SPORT MOD RULES

SAFETY
SAME as UMP/AMRA/TSMA MODIFIED RULES.
CHASSIS,FRAMES AND BODIES
UMP/AMRA/TSMA Modified Frame and Body Rules With the following exceptions
-No coil over shocks .
-No spoilers.
-No tubular front clips allowed.
-air shocks not allowed .
-All coil spring must be atleast 4 1/2” outside diameter .Steel springs only.
-Canister and /or adjustable shocks are not allowed.

ROLL CAGES

1 .Must consist of continous hoops not less than 1.50’’ diameter and must have wall thickness of atleast .095.
2. Must be frame mounted in atleast 6 places roll bar padding required in drivers compartment.
3. Must consist of a figuration of front to rear hoops connected by tubing on sides or side hoops. Driver head must not protrude above the cage with helmet on and strapped in drivers seat. Roll cage must be securely supported and brace .
4. Low carbon, mild steel tubing is recommended. No bracing or soldering allowed.
5. Protection of feet is Mandatory. Bar across back of engines with vertical bars and rub rails, or similar protection.
6. No brace bars forward of cage maybe higher than stock put height.
7. A minimum of 3 driver side door bars must be parallel with the ground as possible and located particular to the driver so as to provide maximum protection protection for driver, but without causing undo difficulty in getting in or out of the vehicle. The side bars must be welded to the front and rear of the roll cage members. No bracing or soldering allowed. Door bar less than .095 thickness should have 4 bars atleast 1 ½ “ in diameter driver door plates required{5’’ infront of seat to rear of seat}.

BRAKES

Brakes must be operated on all 4 wheels and must lock up all 4 wheels during inspection. Brake Pedal balance bar only adjusting device allowed on car.No rear axel brake flooter allowed ,Caliper brackets must be solid mounted to the rear end housing. No preasure limiting or check valves allowed. All front brake rotors subject to OEM minimum thickness. Rear rotors .810 minimum thickness front must be vented.No shutoff valves.

FUEL

Gasoline only,no alcohol.Racing fuel is allowed.

BATTERY

One 12 volt battery must be securely mounted and shielded inside frame rails.
{Marine type battery box recommended}.The{ +} CABLE MUST BE COVERED.All positive post must be covered.

TRANSMISSION

1.OEM manual transmission.Must use stock cases ,bearing plates and tail shock housings for make and model trans been used.Atleast 1 FORD gear and 1 reverse gear must work.No mini clutches.Cast iron flywheel ,no aluminum.10 and ½ minimum.
2.OEM automatic transmission.All FORD reverse gears must be operational at time of inspection.Must have working torque converter.10’’ minimum.

DRIVE SHAFT

Drive shaft hoop is required and must be constructed of atleast ¼’’x 2’’steel and should be mounted atleast 6’’ back from front of drive shaft.Drive shaft must be painted white .2’’ minimum diameter steel shaft.

WEIGHT RULE

2500 pounds for all V8 sport mod ,4 cylinder mod must weight 2300 pounds.

REAR ENDS

1.Any passenger car type or truck rear end maybe used.Flooter recommended 2’’ inspection plug recommended to view spool and /or gear.Carrier may need to be remove if we cannot see what needs to be inspected.
2.No quick – change device allowed .No cambered rear ends allowed.
3.No limited slip devices allowed.May run full spool ,many spool,or welded rear only.All components must be steel.No lightened or light weight components allowed.
4.72’’between back of block and center line of rear end.
5.Minimum Panhard bar length 19’’ center to center of bolt holes .{2010 23inch rear mounted PENHARD bar}
6.One pull bar or lift arm only.[2010 solid pool bar centered over drive shaft ].
7.No coilovers nowhere .
8.Non gun-drilled axles.
9.All steel rear end.Except for drive caps on flooters and aluminum spacers for leaf springs .No light weight spools or ring and pinions.

TIRES AND WHEELS

1.8’’WHEEL .
2.No aluminum wheels,hubs,calipers or A-frames or any other suspension parts allowed.Plastic wheels are not allowed.Calipers cannot be lighten and must be OEM.Rotors cannot be lighten or drilled.
3.Any 8’’ racing tire.

ENGINES

A.ENGINE BLOCK-OEM cast iron only.Maximum cubic inch limited of 390 .
B.CRANKSHAFT-Must have a stock appearing rear crank flange.Balancing OK,No lightening,knife edging or reducing of the crankshaft circumference.Must be cast iron crank,no steel.
C.HARMONIC BALANCER-Must be OEM design with rubber mounted dumpener ring {SFI rating recommended].
D.CONNECTING RODS-Must be of OEM design[IE If STOCK ROD was “I- beam than aftermarket must be I-beam”.Rod length is up to engine builder” does not have to be OEM length”.Rods may use bolt and nut or cap screws to secure the caps.
E.Piston- Cast or forge,Flat top or dished. No domed or gas ported pistons allowed.
F.CAMSHAFT- HYDRAULIC camshaft only.No rolor camshaft allowed.Must pull 15’’ of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s.Must have access to vacuum port in manifold.No 4-7 swaps.
G.CYLINDER HEADS and VALVE TRAIN-must be un altered approved OEM.All heads must have been used in a production vehicle.No limited production or special purpose over the counter heads allowed.No porting,polishing or un approved valve bowl work or other alteration of any kind to heads or intake.202’s.No screw in studs.No pin studs.Must use stock diameter valve spring .Stocks still damper rocker arms.No beehive spring.No studgirdal.No VORTEC heads.Polylocks OK.No counted valve’CLEAVELAND style’ heads allowed.
H.EXHAUST-may use aftermarket headers.Exhaust system must be mounted in such a way as to direct spent gasses away from cockpit of vehicle and away from areas of possible fuel spillage.Exhaust header outlets no higher than midline of the body sides.Officials may require turn downs on the collectors.Dual exhaust only no “Y”pipes or 180 headers.No oxygen sensors allowed.
I.INTAKE-any cast or aluminum intake no porting or enlarging inside of intake or gasket matching.No bow tie,Vortec,SVO,W2,Marine or other special production intake manifold.No intake manifold to cylinder spacers allowed .
J.CARBURATOR-2 barrel holley 4412 only.No grinding or polishing allowed .All carburator components manufactured by holley.No aftermarket base plates, Metering blocks or carb bodies allowed.No milling or grinding of throttle shaft allowed,shaft must stay round.The choke and air horn maybe remove,this is the only reworking allowed,must have stock measurements.Carb gauges may be use 2 steel ,aluminum or PHENOLIC adaptor plate or spacer allowed .Distance between the bottom of carburetor and top of the intake cannot exceed 1 ¼’’ total spacer height include gaskets.
K.FUEL PUMP-OEM style diaphragm fuel pumps only.
L.IGNITION-OEM STOCK APPEARING distributor only{all components,even coil cover }.Must run stock firing order .No MSD boxes.
M.COOLING SYSTEM- cooling system may be modified. Radiator and oil cooler must not protrude above interior.No electric water pumps or cooling fans.No sprinkler system.Any over flow tubes are to be directed to the ground,between frame rails.
N.STARTER- all vehicles must have the capability of starting without being pushed or pulled.[prior to the races-starter must bolt to engine and the factory location}.

THIS IS INTENDED TO BE AN ECONOMICAL CLASS.RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCE,ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!PLS.NOTE THAT RACING IS EVERY CHANGING SPORT SO FLEMING COUNTY RACEWAY AND MOTORSPORTS LLC.RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY RULES AS TIME GOES ON.ALL PAY OUTS WILL ALSO INCREASE IN ALL CLASSES AS THE CAR COUNT GROWS.THANK YOU AND HOPING TO HAVE A GREAT 2014 RACING SEASON .
